I’m rather disappointed that the Mac version is still a Java application, although it looks rather more “Mac like” than before. Particular things that could be improved are the Preferences panel - where all the icons are identical (little disc icon), font handling - it would be nice if the Font menu option opened the standard OS X font chooser and the Help system feels very un-Mac like.

In iMindMap 4, notes appear close to the branch you're interested in and at a sensible size. In 5 they appear in a tall thin window on the right of the screen which can be far from the relevant branch and is painful for notes better suited to landscape format (eg images). The HTML tab was useful too. ps entering these comments doesn't work very well in IE9, I get a tiny box in a very tall thin window.

I use Evernote as a reference system and love to do direct links on these notes. The links look like this e.g. evernote:///view/9939548/s90/a2503f3b-1d40-4337-b277-66ad0fe9ad18/a2503f3b-1d40-4337-b277-66ad0fe9ad18/

There are a few other applications in my portfolio with the same way to reference into artefacts inside the applications.

I'm suprised that you haven't included that ability to import from office documents. I see that some mind mapping files from other vendors can be opened but not the office suite.

I've used MindMapper 2009 previously and that can both import and export from office.

Please think about "Sent to Evernote" option. Evernote is very good platform for collect all information but mising one part "Visual" abstraction layer like iMindMap. Evernote platform have very good set of application in Evernote Trunk and I would like to see iMindMap aplication there. Please think!

One of Buzan´s main principles is the importance of the Central Idea. I try to follow this by varying as much as possible the central ideas of my mind maps (googling for images). The problem is that I cannot read central idea text if I do not use the options offered by Imindmap. So you should give us the option to put text in othe positions (under or over the image) and to create coloured backgrounds to contrast with the text, so it´s readable.

I am using imind map 5. I Icons are a great way to add graphical depth. Is there a way to add new icons(made by me) to icon library of imindmap 5.

It would be great if imind-map allows typing of math equations on branches. Right now it is only user-friendly to the business world.

LINK BRANCH TO BRANCH ACROSS MAPS - I would like the ability to be able to link branches across mind maps. Association arrows are clunky and also not possible with child mind maps. Multiple maps can end up wanting to point to the same topic but it is WITHIN a mindmap on a specific branch. This would be awesome for flexible navigation.

Need to be able to adjust Printer Properties so that I can adjust output quality.

It will be great to be able to list 3 or 4 words in one box as a list, like dots. For example I need to list side effects of a drug but I need to write 2 or 3 in one box branch or text box and be ble to order them in the same box. That is not possible in this program. Another feature that makes the program not good enough for medicine.

Can you add features that will Mac to interface with iCal for projects needed to be added to my calendar. Can you add interface to add contacts from Mac Address book.

I've noticed that while there are some 'real' shortcuts built into iMindMap (Ctrl prefixed, or Function Key related) - there is no option to use Alt-prefixed keystrokes to operate the menus/ribbons. This makes iMindMap useless for me, since as a 'keyboard krazy' (not a 'mouse maniac') I endeavour to use all software with minimum departure from the keyboard where I am (touch) typing my input fast and furious!!

Sorry, but this rules iMindMap out as an alternative to MindManager for me.

I suggest that you add the scientific notations similar to microsoft word. I am an engineer and started using your mind map software recently. Most of what I do can be represented by symbols and would reduce clutter
