Found out about F2 opening the edit dialog, yay :)!
I forgot to mention that more customization in how text is positioned on branches, box branches and links may be a good addition.
The current auto-positioning presets work pretty well with branches and links, but I've had many times where I wish I could have dragged the text on a link to a different spot, because some of my links are very long and will even lend themselves to positioning the text up-side down.
The text on the central topic is neatly centered, but I can't find a way to make this to happen for box branches that I either manually re-size or put 2+ lines or text in.
You’re able to import from MS Word and a range of other Mind Mapping software in iMindMap 10. Plus, you can export to Spreadsheet, Project, Document, Image, PDF and more…Michael supported this idea ·
I am not familiar with how v4's feature worked, but I would like to see in future versions a native folder of imports or absorption of imports into the .imx file. I use mind maps on two separate computers, and have some files linked in temporary locations. Using the same map on two computers that don't have synced file locations (i.e., differing drive letters), or even moving the linked files to better locations can become very troublesome. With the option of having all my imported files (together with iMindMap maps), and the option of importing linked files, using third-party files with iMM would be far less tedious.
Note, also, that it would be quicker and more convenient to be able to create documents et. al. in a context menu, rather than manually launching the native program, creating and drafting the document, saving somewhere, finding where the file was saved, etc. (which, a file search window updated to use the current OS's explorer vs the iMindMap version that does not have an editable address bar would be cool, too).
